Concept Note

This project explores the quiet poetry of everyday life—moments that slip by unnoticed yet leave a lasting emotional imprint. Rather than striving for permanence, the project embraces change, imperfection, and the beauty of the unfinished. It emphasizes the fleeting nature of time and the impermanence of our surroundings.

By capturing transient elements—like shifting light, decaying leaves, or the subtle textures of wear—this work seeks to celebrate the overlooked and ephemeral. It translates these fleeting experiences into tangible narratives. It seeks to capture fleeting moments—those that vanish before they can be held. It urges a deeper appreciation for the unnoticed. It is a reminder that what fades is not lost; instead, its presence lingers in memory, in traces, and in the act of noticing before it slips away.

About

Amulya Giri

Amulya Giri is a graduate of the Industrial Arts and Design Practices program at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology. Her academic journey focused on exploring the intersections of product, textile, and furniture design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, material exploration, and craft-based practices. Her work combines hands-on making with thoughtful research, often engaging with slow, traditional processes to create contemporary design outcomes.

Geeta Timsina

Geeta, a Film Fellow at Green Hub, hails from Nepal and has been living in Assam. A natural storyteller, her deep love for birds comes alive through her heartfelt narratives and observations.

Garystar K Phanbuh

Gary, from Meghalaya, shares a deep bond with nature—especially the rain—and believes in respectfully communicating with the natural world, even asking permission before entering a forest. Calm yet expressive, he enjoys storytelling and is currently part of the Responsible Tourism Program at Green Hub.

Donsang Biate

Donsang is a photographer with Green Hub’s film department, originally from Haflong, Assam. His work blends visual storytelling with a painterly eye, capturing moments that feel timeless. Deeply curious, he sees photography as a “third eye” that helps him explore different perspectives and uncover the full story behind every scene.

Uma

Uma is a gentle and reserved presence, often seen walking hand in hand with Momi and Lisa. Though initially shy and soft-spoken, especially around new people, she found comfort in staying close to her friends.

Lija Saikia

Lisa is a thoughtful and imaginative child who loves flowers, the moon, and the beauty of nature. She enjoys sitting under trees and often expresses her dreams through drawings—like her favourite Doraemon, her dream house, and blooming trees with flowers she prefers to see growing freely outdoors.
